This is one of my most recent works. Overall, “Retro Snowboard Scene” captures the thrill and excitement of snowboarding, as well as the beauty and majesty of the natural world. The image conveys a sense of freedom and adventure as the snowboarder navigates through the snowy terrain. At the same time, it also represents a sense of calm and serenity as the stunning, natural beauty of the mountain landscape surrounds the snowboarder. Whether viewed as a simple, aesthetic pleasure or as a meditation on the human relationship with nature, “Scenic Snowboard” is a striking and evocative work of art.
The image features two snowboarders in a scenic treed mountain scene. Framed by two giant cedars covered by a thick covering of snow, the viewer is drawn towards the snowboarder in mid-air maneuver as he takes a flying leap off a cliff edge while the companion watches bellow. The stark late sun casts some prominent shadows on the surrounding terrain adding drama and dynamism to it. The design and colours have a distinctly retro feel characteristic of my works.
