24 Hours of Le Mans

Le Mans

Anyone who is a car racing fan will know of The 24 Hours of Le Mans, an endurance-focused auto racing event held annually in Le Mans, France.

The Porsche 917 is a race car designed by Porsche for the 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The 917 is regarded as one of the most iconic and successful race cars in motorsports history.

It won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1970 and 1971 and the World Sportscar Championship in 1970, 1971, and 1972. The flat-12 engine in the 917 was capable of producing over 600 horsepower. It was known for its sleek, aerodynamic design, which allowed it to reach high speeds on the Le Mans straights.

The car’s distinctive shape and colour scheme, complete with a long tail and Gulf Oil livery, made it stand out.

This is a commemorative piece aimed at auto racing enthusiasts and Porsche lovers. The bold colours and dynamic composition capture the high-octane speed and excitement of auto racing. This would make a great addition to any interior.
