There are few things as ubiquitously French as a baguette. This poster is an homage to a favourite coffee shop of mine in Revelstoke: an outstanding bakery and cafe that I have been visiting for over 10 years. Revelstoke is tucked away deep in the BC Rockies and is famous for its year-round outdoor recreational activities such as fresh powder skiing and mountain biking. It’s a community very much about health and staying active. It’s also a hidden gem for foodies!
After a day’s activities, this cafe is a great place to relax and unwind. It boasts some of the finest coffee and fresh bread in town, and the almond croissants are simply to die for. It’s a great place to sit and chat around their cozy quaint fireplace and people-watch.
The design prominently features an old-school ladies’ bicycle, a basket stuffed with baguettes, and the iconic, snow-capped Mount Begbie. I wanted to give the design a classic and nostalgic feel. It would make a great addition as a home decor art piece to any kitchen or dining room.
